About The Event

Science Night LIVE! at Heureka is a multidisciplinary science communication and networking event, an evening packed with inspiring stories, fascinating research, and good vibes! The first event took place on Wednesday, March 29, 2023, from 6:00 pm to 10:30 pm at the Finnish Science Centre Heureka in Vantaa. This year's theme is “Science Solving Problems.”

Our goal is to connect Finnish media, decision-makers, companies, and third-sector organizations with impactful research and expertise conducted by foreign scholars working and living in Finland. Additionally, we hope to offer foreign scholars in Finland opportunities for societal engagement with the general public and stakeholders.

Science Night LIVE! at Heureka includes several formats for researchers to share their expertise, research insights, and personal experiences while becoming familiar with stakeholders and the wider public. Read more about our event program here.

The event is funded by Tieteen tiedotus and jointly organized by E2 Research, Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences, and the Finnish Science Centre Heureka. The Dean Team, representing eight Finnish universities, supports the event.

An unforgettable evening of science communication and networking!

Finland is home to a vast number of talented international academics who have a lot to offer to society. For example, some are contributing to policy issues, others are developing novel applications that Finns - and indeed people of all nationalities - benefit from. Science Night LIVE! is a great platform to showcase some of this talent, and to spread the word about scientific innovation in Finland.
